Hydroponics not working for us

I have decided to not put any more effort into hydroponics for creating a food source.But i will be recycling the old pipe work for growing pathos and herbs.

The problem is that we have done such a good job of removing nitrates out of the water the plants do not have enough to eat and perform poorly.

So we are now going to grow decorative plants that we can use as filtration and sell in the shop, we have done a few tests and pathos is the ideal one for us, the fish do not eat them and they are easy to propergate.

The only down side is that they are not good for eating.
